TRUE UNITY

you can’t make true unity happen

You just have to go to the meeting place.

And wait.

I made this edit for my friends and family at Thanksgiving.

My little nephew Oliver had just been watching the movie in our house and this scene really caught my eye.

So much decision is required. And the “horse” has to move their own body. If we do it for them, it won’t even be what we were originally after in the first place.

  1. This is so true. Nitro has, not so kindly at times, reminded me that he is in charge of our time line. Setting it up and waiting is one of our big things. Our ride last night was a great example. He “knows” how to do lateral flexion. In the hackamore it’s easy, soft and has a great feel. In the snaffle, it was awful. So for an hour, I kept setting it up and waiting. We made progress but some days it seems like we go backwards so far that I can’t even see where we were.

    1. I know how that goes Jen! I try to remember the rule of 3. Don’t stress too much until you have 3 bad days in a row. 🙂 I hope to see you and Nitro in class this year so we can have a look at him specifically.

  2. I’ve lost count of how many times I have watched this clip. Watching the muzzle move to the open hand is every bit was powerful now as the first time I watched it.
